Cristina Arnés Sanz

Cristina Arnés Sanz is a Master of Public Health student in the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases department at the Yale School of Public Health, with a concentration in Climate Change and Health. She has joined the Carlson Lab to write her MPH thesis, pursuing her interest in bridging science and policy at the intersection of climate and health. She is a Fellow at both the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health and the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School. Last summer, she completed her MPH summer internship at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Geneva. Prior to Yale, Cristina worked as a research assistant for Prof. Joacim Rocklöv in the Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases lab at Heidelberg University in Germany. She holds a Pharmacy degree from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. Cristina is passionate about youth engagement in international policymaking. Over the past year, she has served as the Focal Point for Europe for the United Nations Major Group of Children and Youth. She is a Planetary Health Alliance Campus Ambassador and a member of the Youth4Health Network of the WHO Office for Europe.
